We have a machine that operates at a high noise level and is surrounded by other machines and workers, what can we do?

The first thing to do is have a full spectrum sound test run.  From this information we are able to pinpoint the octave band or bands that need to be addressed.  By doing this we can engineer an enclosure using material that will best mitigate the noise.

Why engineer each sound trap?

One wouldn't take a muffler that is designed for a Briggs & Stratton engine and mount it on a 966 CAT.  Jack Barry and Associates, Inc. will design a sound suppression system for the noise that is being generated.  In the long run this is less expensive and much more cost efficient.  If the noise generator is emitting elevated low frequency sound, usually an inexpensive trap will suffice.  But if we have higher frequency noise then a much more sophisticated trap should be applied.

How much does it cost to operate a ventilation system?

The cost of electricty to operate a 125 HP motor is about $50,000 per year.  Jack Barry and Associates, Inc. will design your ventilation system using the most efficient fan and premium efficient motors.  The savings can range from $4,000 to $5,000 per year per fan.  The cheapest fan may not be the least expensive.  We can save you money.
